I worked on Verayo as an independent contractor to come up with the look and usage scenarios of their new security device. I created all original sketches and CAD and refined the design up thru initial prototype stage.

Each fob has a unique chip signature that acts as a password to wirelessly secure personal electronics like phones based on proximity.
When the phone is removed or stolen, it will not work until it is reunited with the security fob.

I wanted this device to have the ability to be personalized. The center portion can be personalized at the factory for different colors and materials.

The goal of the design was to maximize versatility while keeping part and SKU count low as possible.
The blue oval portion can be used alone or snapped into a protective black plastic shell. The shell doubles as a key fob ring or have a metallic clip snapped on to attach to clothing.

After the prototyping stage I handed the project off to an engineer to finalize tooling design.
